Accuracy and verification
Nuvex Media publications should prioritize factual accuracy, clear sourcing, and careful review before publication.
Editorial Ethics & Guidelines
This page outlines the editorial standards, disclosure expectations, advertising boundaries, sourcing approach, and AI principles that support credibility across the Nuvex Media network.
At Nuvex Media, our mission is to deliver independent, high‑quality journalism built on transparency, trust, and respect for our audience. Our editorial standards are designed to maintain credibility, foster inclusivity, and serve the public interest with depth and clarity.

NuvexMedia is dedicated to shaping the future of digital content and journalism. Our NuvexMedia Values are the bedrock of our operations, guiding us as we evolve. We embrace change, innovate constantly, and uphold the highest standards for ourselves and our team. We foster an environment that encourages passion, promotes collaboration, and respects all voices and identities.
These NuvexMedia editorial guidelines are designed to provide clear direction to our teams and transparency to our audience. We understand that real-world complexities cannot be reduced to a simple checklist. Therefore, we encourage open dialogue with colleagues and supervisors about specific situations, believing this is superior to attempting to craft a policy that addresses every conceivable dilemma.
As the needs of our content creators and audiences evolve, our guidelines will adapt to ensure that NuvexMedia’s work consistently earns our audience’s trust. Supplementary guidelines for the specific needs of individual NuvexMedia content channels or brands may be found on their respective platforms.
NuvexMedia encompasses various content divisions and business lines that financially support our operations. This includes NuvexMedia divisions responsible for selling consumer subscriptions, advertising, and editorial sponsorships across our platforms; advertising through our integrated marketplace; branded content developed in partnership with our in-house creative studio, NuvexCreative; and podcast advertising across the NuvexMedia Podcast Network. Crucially, the operation of these business lines will never interfere with the integrity of our editorial teams or influence the content they produce.
In all instances, the relationship between NuvexMedia’s content and its advertisers or sponsors will be clearly marked or announced as “Presented by,” “Paid Content For,” “Partner Content From,” “Ad,” or “Advertiser Content From,” as applicable.
Some of our content may contain affiliate links, meaning we will receive a commission for purchases made via these links; a disclosure will always be included within the content.
Advertisements do not reflect the views of NuvexMedia or our editorial teams.
NuvexMedia’s content teams operate with broad editorial independence, and our staff and contributors treat this independence with utmost seriousness. They will refrain from participating in any activity that could compromise their journalistic or creative coverage of an issue. Should a team member or contributor have a conflict of interest, they will be recused from coverage and/or publicly disclose that conflict. Conflicts of interest may include personal or family relationships, personal financial investments or donations, or working for or promoting an organization that they are covering.
NuvexMedia also has various investors. Our investors do not influence our reporting or content creation and are not involved in our internal processes.
NuvexMedia will continue to explore the use of generative AI tools in specific, intentional, and editorially vetted applications. Our core principles regarding generative AI tools are honesty and transparency. While we anticipate NuvexMedia’s guidelines to evolve with these technologies, we demand the same high editorial standards for all our work, regardless of generative AI’s involvement.
NuvexMedia views generative AI tools as opportunities to enhance our work, not to replace the human creativity, voice, and judgment that make NuvexMedia content deserving of our audience’s time and trust. We encourage and expect ongoing discussions to balance the advantages and disadvantages of these tools.
Any published content created directly using or with the assistance of AI tools is subject to the same rigorous editorial standards and ethical principles outlined in these guidelines as any other NuvexMedia content. The use of these tools will be disclosed as appropriate.
Each NuvexMedia content brand may develop its own more restrictive or prescriptive supplementary guidance at its leadership’s discretion to augment NuvexMedia’s guidelines.
Some NuvexMedia content channels may accept financial contributions from individual audience members, but these contributions do not have any particular impact on coverage. Our content channels also occasionally accept funding from grant organizations or significant individual fiscal sponsors to support specific content areas. We do not permit these fiscal sponsors or grant organizations to control or interfere with the integrity and independence of our editorial teams and the content they create. Where applicable, content will be disclosed as being supported by significant fiscal sponsors and/or grant organizations.
NuvexMedia strives for complete accuracy in all content upon publication. If a correction is required, we are transparent and will update a story if new information either adds to or invalidates the original content. We will issue corrections for factual errors or typos that could lead audiences to misunderstand the content.
We almost always leave all editorial content live, with notes and corrections as needed. In rare instances, we may remove content from our websites, social media pages, or related platforms for legal reasons or extenuating circumstances. Removal will never be at the direction of, or influenced by, our advertisers.
We do not accept gifts or other consideration from companies as a condition or incentive to create a review or story, whether favorable or unfavorable. Any gifts accepted will be of minor value and will in no way compromise or guarantee editorial coverage of the event, product, or service.
Occasionally, NuvexMedia will conduct contests and giveaways for our audiences. We will publish rules for each contest and giveaway, which will be binding for participants. While giveaways or contests may be sponsored by an advertiser or partner, they are not, and should never be, considered endorsements of the entities involved or their products.
NuvexMedia values our content creators for their strong, expert voices and their ability to build positive communities and influence on our social media platforms and their own. All employees are expected to adhere to NuvexMedia’s social media policy, as well as the policies of their respective teams and other applicable guidelines.
NuvexMedia obtains news and content from a variety of sources. Some of our sources prefer to remain unnamed, and we grant anonymity when we confirm our sources are credible and reliable, and that their story would otherwise not be told. We make every effort to confirm the veracity of information provided by anonymous sources and will not include any information we have not thoroughly vetted. It is our policy not to pay sources.
NuvexMedia acknowledges that online and offline harassment is a real and growing problem, with potentially life-changing consequences for those targeted. We take seriously the impact this can have on our employees and contractors and will employ suitable measures to protect them.
If a NuvexMedia employee is found to be involved in conducting or encouraging the harassment of an individual, we will take appropriate action.
NuvexMedia’s Advertising team is deeply committed to upholding the integrity of our company’s values, including truth and transparency, and the continuous pursuit of diversity, equity, and inclusion within our team and across our network of vendors, contributors, and clients. We strive to reflect these values not just in our culture and partnerships, but in all content we produce and publish on behalf of advertisers.
This commitment is reflected in the following guidelines:

NuvexMedia is proud to partner with purpose-driven brands through our social-impact practice, NuvexMedia Impact. As more brand partners seek to publicly declare their role in supporting social issues like gender and racial equity, sustainability, and privacy, NuvexMedia will be ever more vigilant in seeking support for claims related to those issues. As such, we reserve the right to request attestation supporting claims or messages including, but not limited to:

We will not accept political advertising that:
We reserve the right to verify the original funding source of any advertisement in any medium submitted to NuvexMedia. We also reserve the right to reject any advertisement at our sole discretion.
Note: It is our policy not to permit any political or advocacy advertising on any open exchange across any platform because we do not have the ability to control these ads or run them through the policy above. Even with this policy, due to the nature of the open exchange, there will be instances in which political advertising does get placed on our sites. When this occurs, we will block these ads when they are brought to our attention as they are against our policy.
Policies as of July 2025; we will continue to update this page.
Nuvex Media publications should prioritize factual accuracy, clear sourcing, and careful review before publication.
Commercial relationships, conflicts, sponsorships, and material interests should be disclosed where relevant.
When mistakes happen, corrections should be timely, visible, and written clearly enough for readers to understand what changed.
Any use of automation or AI-assisted workflows should support editorial quality rather than replace accountability, judgement, or transparency.
